Greg and Gail Johnson are a dedicated couple in the Lima area who have been happily married for over 19+ years. Greg was raised In one of three group homes that his mother owned and operated so his passion for teaching and helping others was instilled in him at a very young age. Finding a partner in Gail who shares the same dream and dedication has been a true blessing for them both.
They are passionate about making a positive impact in their community and have opened their home in the pristine countryside in the Shawnee area. Some of the amenities of the home include a full workout gym, an in-ground swimming pool, a fully stocked pond, and a full basketball court. The property spans 10 acres with plenty of activities to keep the boys active.
Greg is an outdoorsman and a boat enthusiast who enjoys teaching the boys outdoor sports and recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping. The couple's love for nature has inspired them to organize enriching trips to their favorite destination Gatlinburg Tennessee. The Johnsons love spending time with the boys while still teaching valuable independent living skills such as planning, budgeting, and Teamwork.
Gail a registered nurse and missionary, is a natural teacher and loves bringing the best out of her students by tailor-making programs that fit their individual needs. The couple's motto is that “Every child is born on purpose for a purpose,” and the Johnsons are passionate about helping each child find their purpose in life.
The youth at the Johnson home receive mental health services and therapeutic counseling from a highly skilled and trained therapist. They utilize the teaching family model, which has a proven track record of positively impacting behaviors. The focus is on teaching essential life skills such as teamwork, career preparation, social competence, self-care management, problem-solving, and emotional well-being. With the boys under the Johnson's care, their dedication, enthusiasm and extensive training make them well-equipped to provide a nurturing and empowering environment for any youth who joins their program.
